It’s been a busy couple of months here at Tavey House, and we are now firmly into spring! The past few months have been full of excitement as we prepared for Easter celebrations.
Our Easter Party was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone. The Easter Hat Competition was truly spectacular – the hats were so creative and beautifully made that they were almost Oscar-worthy! Choosing a winner was no easy task, but congratulations go to Jackie, Sylvia, and Betty for taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Your hard work and creativity really paid off!
There was plenty of delicious food for everyone to enjoy, and our longest resident, Jackie, had the honour of cutting the cake.
We were also delighted to welcome the local church, who shared the Easter story with us and led some lovely hymns, creating a warm and meaningful atmosphere.
The wonderful children from Honey Bear Nursery joined us to read stories and bring delightful Easter goodies. Their visit brought smiles, laughter, and lots of joy to everyone.
April also started off with some fun exercise sessions with Debbie, who brought the fun into fitness and got everyone moving! It certainly seems we have some very competitive residents and staff, with plenty of laughter and friendly rivalry along the way.
We were also delighted to welcome back Logy the PAT dog, who has become a full-blown superstar! Logy is even featured in a magazine celebrating all the wonderful things he does and the joy he brings to everyone he meets.
The lovely Lisa also came to sing for us and had everyone singing along and even enjoying a little dancing. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and everyone joining in with the fun.
It has been a fantastic few months filled with fun, friendship, laughter, and community spirit, and we would like to thank everyone who helped make these moments so special.
