January has been a quieter start to the year

January has been a quieter month here at Tavey House after the excitement and fun of Christmas. With so much happening over the festive period, everyone was happy to enjoy some calmer days and a chance to relax.

Residents have been spending time making crafts and decorating the lobby, with hearts displayed to help spread a little love during the winter season. Quiet time has been welcomed by residents and has given everyone a chance to relax, socialise, and enjoy meaningful activities together. We have also been chatting with residents about events planned for the year ahead and getting ideas added to the calendar.

We were also delighted to welcome  Yoggy the PAT dog for a visit this month. Yoggy is always very popular, and residents absolutely love spending time with him—his visits never fail to bring smiles, comfort, and plenty of cuddles.

We can hardly believe we are already heading into February, and it has been lovely to see the daffodils starting to appear—always a sign that spring is on its way and something to look forward to.

We would also like to say a big thank you to those who kindly recognised our staff this month. The team were very grateful to receive some beautiful flowers and biscuits as a thank-you for the care they provide. Staff recognition truly goes a long way, and as everyone knows—you can never go wrong with chocolate biscuits!

Please keep an eye on the lobby notice board for upcoming events so you can save the dates. And don’t worry—we have already booked the Easter Bunny! Everyone is looking forward to starting their Easter bonnets this year, and we have a feeling the competition will be fierce… even among the staff!

We’re looking forward to a busy and enjoyable few months ahead.
