It has certainly been all go here at Tavey House over the past few months!
We have been so lucky with the amazing weather, and our garden has been in full bloom. Residents have made the most of the sunshine, spending lots of time outdoors, enjoying meals in the garden and simply relaxing and soaking up the sun.
There has been plenty to keep everyone entertained too! We have enjoyed wonderful singing sessions with Steve and Lisa, while Debbie from G Fitness has been putting us through our paces with some fun and energetic exercise sessions.
One of our most memorable visitors has to be the amazing alpacas! It was something a little different and such a heart-warming experience for everyone. We have also welcomed Logi and another lovely PAT dog, who brought plenty of smiles and cuddles during their visits.
Our friends from the nursery have visited us several times too. We have shared some lovely moments together, including story time with Gruffalo Granny, as well as colouring pictures and spending time chatting and creating together. It is always wonderful to see the different generations enjoying each other’s company.
And, of course, we cannot forget our fantastic Summer Party! It was a brilliant day filled with laughter, games, delicious food and a visit from the Ice Cream van. Everyone had a wonderful time and it was certainly a day to remember.
As the sunny days slowly begin to come to an end and the beautiful autumn colours start to appear, we are already busy planning our seasonal decorations for the lobby.
We can hardly believe there are less than 100 days to go until Christmas — where has the year gone? Before then, though, we have lots more to look forward to, including Halloween, Remembrance Day and plenty of autumn activities.
Then it will be time to start getting Tavey House festive and ready for Christmas!
There is certainly plenty more fun, laughter and special moments planned over the next few months, and we cannot wait to share them with everyone.
