It’s been a beautiful start to the summer here at Tavey House. The garden is looking lively and colourful, and our residents have been making the most of the sunshine, enjoying fresh air, warm rays, and plenty of smiles outdoors.
We’ve kept active too, with regular exercise sessions to keep everyone moving. A special highlight was welcoming Jake, who came along to run some fun and engaging activities with us. There was plenty of laughter and even a bit of competitive spirit, some of our ladies showed off a very neat right hook during the session.
The whole afternoon was a joy, with both residents and staff getting involved and sharing in the fun.
We also had the pleasure of celebrating two special birthdays: our long-serving cook’s 69th birthday, and Ed’s wonderful 80th birthday. Both were marked with warm wishes, laughter, and a lovely sense of togetherness.
Adding to the fun, we enjoyed some wonderful live music from Jon, which had everyone up dancing, clapping, and singing along.
And we’re not done yet, we can’t wait for our annual family BBQ, which promises to be another highlight of the summer.
